Bringing a new kitchen project to a successful conclusion calls for an understanding of the lifestyle and passions of the homeowners.
The owners of this home approached us because their old kitchen didn't suit their needs. As professional chefs who enjoy entertaining at home, they wanted a kitchen that was efficient and allowed them to cook and converse with guests in the adjoining dining and living areas.
Destan Eutsey, CKD, CBD, our most experienced designer, says this young couple liked a traditional look, so our company looked at the rest of the house for colors and door styles.
KraftMaid cabinets in cherry wood, with a black glazed finish, are complemented by black appliances. A built-in dishwasher and trash compactor with decorative door panels helped complete the traditional look the owners wanted.
To the right of the refrigerator are 12in-deep pantries, and the cooktop and sink are located so the owners can work and chat with guests. We also added a small desk area, to the left of the kitchen, it replaces a closet and houses a wine cooler.
